Where to Ask About an Inmate or Record

For current Randolph County Jail custody, start with the sheriff's official roster or call the jail. For court filings after arrest, use the Randolph Circuit Clerk or Alacourt. For formal county public records, follow Randolph County's open-records process, which requires Alabama residents to submit the request form and proof of residency in person at the Commission Office.

Randolph County's open-records page is at randolphcountyal.gov/open-records-requests. The county says requests must identify the record with reasonable specificity, fees may need to be prepaid, and it will not respond to unsolicited email or other electronic public-records requests because of cybersecurity concerns.
